One thing I really like about HP ink is that the printer head is in the cartridge. The proper place for company comments/reviews are in the feedback for the seller not in the product review. We don't print very often, but when we do the pages always look very clear.
Really it's probably more to prevent pirate cartridges than to provide a better experience for the customer, but it has its advantages. Our color ink cartridge (HP 97) is many years past expiration and still seems to work on the rare occasions we print something in color. This may account for slightly higher cost.
Past HP 96 ink has lasted well past its expiration date and still performed well. Where many printers will get damaged by running the ink low, the only risk you have with a HP is damaging the printer cartridge, which will be out of ink anyway. You have less risk. The ink is good quality and lasts a long time.
HP is my favorite printer company.I notice some have commented on the company selling the cartridges. Sellers may be replaced by Amazon as time passes.
The two cartridges came loose in a shipping box; NOT in the dual box pictured. There is NO indication of any expiriation date to be found on the wrappers. I suspect that these Malaysian products are a knock-off.
I just wanted the proper cartridge for my model 7410 printer, and this product is fine.
Opened up the cartridges approx 4 months after purchase date, and 9 months before the "use before" date. First one: dead. Second: dead. Clearly, both are defective.
I was very happy to find a great price for the HP cartridge (not a knock-off). Minimal packaging, no waste, quick delivery, works great.
